Jade attended Millsaps College, a private liberal arts institution, in Jackson, MS from 2008 through 2012. She graduated in the Spring of 2012 with a B.A. in Studio Arts with a concentration in Digital Arts and a minor in Art History. While at Millsaps, Jade played on the softball team and was a four-year letter winner. She was awarded All Conference and All Tournament selections, as well as a being named team captain her junior and senior years.
In the Fall of 2013, she began graduate school at the University of New Orleans in New Orleans, LA. She graduated with a M.F.A in Film Production in the Spring of 2016.
During the summer of 2015, she worked for the professional softball team, the Dallas Charge, as their video and photography intern. In January 2016, she joined Scrap Yard full-time as their Media Director. She shoots all videos and photos for the team, creates graphics for team operations, and posts to all social media accounts.
Jade Hewitt Media
Jade Hewitt Media is a small business that first began in 2006 when Jade started officially filming, editing, and sharing videos. She began making college athletic recruiting videos for high school athletes in 2008, and has since shot tens of thousands of photographs and made hundreds of videos for local businesses and professional sports teams. She regularly shoots photos and creates videos for sports companies and businesses, as well as running multiple websites and creating graphic designs. She has produced over 200 skills videos for athletes all over the southern United States, as well as being the official videographer/photographer for many local sports, fitness events, and conventions.
In addition to Jade Hewitt Media, she is also the Co-Executive Director and Media Director for the College Softball Camp, an annual softball camp in Covington, LA that hosts over 350 campers and 60 college coaches.
Jade loves to shoot all types of video and photography, and regularly takes trips out into nature to explore with her camera. She loves to spend the day at the movies, read fantasy fiction, adventure out on her stand-up-paddleboard, go for a good run, eat frozen yogurt, and watch the Saints dominate on the field. WhoDat!
